Galet earns MPSF Rookie of the Week honors

FRESNO, Calif. --  Freshman midfielder Kayla Galet has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for games played Feb. 27 through March 5, the MPSF announced Monday evening.
Galet is the second Bulldog to receive a weekly honor from the conference this season.
The El Dorado Hills, Calif. native scored six goals on nine shots to lead Fresno State to an 18-6 victory over Presbyterian College Friday night. She grabbed one ground ball and caused two turnovers. The freshman was a perfect 1-for-1 in free position shots.
Galet sparked an 8-0 Bulldog run in the first half with three consecutive goals.
Fresno State returns home Wednesday, March 8 to host Coastal Carolina at 5 p.m. PT in the Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium.
