‘Dogs oust Aztecs, 6-1

Thursday’s win gave the Bulldogs their ninth win in its last 10 matches.
SAN DIEGO – The Fresno State women's tennis team extended in its Mountain West regular-season conference win streak to 19 on Thursday afternoon with a 6-1 over San Diego State at the Aztec Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs opened up the dual match by winning the doubles point for the ninth-straight match with the No. 1 team of Emma Wilson and Georgia Lawson, and the No. 3 team of Olivia Noble and Katerina Stloukalova each picking up 6-2 victories. It was Wilson and Lawson's team-leading sixth doubles win of the spring.
Singles play saw the Bulldogs' freshman trio clinch the win with all three winning in straight sets. At No. 5, Lawson defeated Mia Smith 6-2, 6-4. In her first match of the season in the No. 3 position, Juliane Triebe dispatched Paola Diaz 6-3, 6-4. Stloukalova ended the match on Court 1, besting Jana Buth 7-5, 6-4.
Fresno State travels to Las Vegas, Nev., on Sunday to face UNLV at 10 a.m. PT at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
