• There are nine Mountain West women's golf programs; each are vying for the automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA postseason at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club, Monday thru Wednesday.
• Golfstat.com ranks three Mountain West teams inside its top 50 (No. 30 San Diego State, No. 38 San Jose State, No. 45 UNLV) while two others are in the top 100 (No. 70 Fresno State, No. 90 Nevada). Rounding out the league, four others are outside the top 100 (No. 108 New Mexico, No. 120 Colorado State, No. 138 Wyoming, No. 175 Boise State).
• Fresno State enters its fifth MW Championship golf tournament this week since joining the league. In the Bulldogs' four previous events, they have finished third three times (2016, 2014, 2013) and seventh once (2015).
• As a freshman, Gudrun Bjorgvinsdottir won the MW Individual Championship at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course in 2014. She was the third Bulldog to claim an individual conference championship in program history - the prior two were achieved in the WAC (Laura Luethke-2008, Hali Coppin-2010).
• Fresno State has one team conference championship in its 12-year program history, won during the 2008 WAC conference tournament.
• Four of Fresno State's individuals entered for the 2017 edition participated in last season's championship (Bjorgvinsdottir, Simonsen, Ho and Wang). Bjorgvinsdottir owned the Bulldogs' top finish (T-7th), followed by Simonsen (T-10th), Ho (T-17th) and Wang (T-21st).
• Years of experience at the Mountain West Championship: Bjorgvinsdottir (3), Ho (2), Simonsen (1), Wang (1) and Mammen (0).
• Gudrun Bjorgvinsdottir is currently the sole Bulldog ranked in the Golfstat Individual Top 250 poll; she was last ranked No. 180.
• 2016-17 Mountain West women's golfers of the week: Mimi Ho and Kristin Simonsen earned back-to-back weekly accolades for Fresno State, announced March 21 (tournaments played March 13-17) and March 28 (tournaments played March 20-22).
