FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State head swim coach Jeanne Fleck announced the addition of Osianna Mcreed for the 2017-18 season.
Mcreed is a transfer from Indian River State College, and will enter Fresno State as a junior with two years of eligibility.
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla. native was named the 2017 NJCAA Swimmer of the Year.
She led IRSC to its 38th and 39th team national title. The IRSC women's swimming program has won the NJCAA National Championships 35-straight years.
Mcreed was the NJCAA National Champion in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay during her freshman season.
As a sophomore, Mcreed was the NJCAA National Champion in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay.
Mcreed broke the 50 fly national record with a time of 24.62, during the NJCAA Nation Championship meet.
"We are excited to have a sprinter of Osianna's caliber coming in," Fleck said. "She will really help us in all of our relays next year. She has a great attitude and she is really driven to be the best, and I love that about her. She is overall a great fit for our program."
