FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's lacrosse program will host the Second Annual Lacrosse Legacy Awards Dinner on Wednesday, May 10. The star-studded evening will be held at Sunnyside Country Club.
The Lacrosse Legacy Awards Dinner is a fun filled fundraising event that will honor Fresno State lacrosse student-athletes and their achievements during the 2017 season. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour and silent auction, followed by dinner and a live auction.
The live auctioneer for the evening will be George Takata. Takata is a KSEE 24 Sunrise co-anchor, 940 ESPN Radio Host and a Fresno State Alumni. The auction will include items such as exclusive Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49er packages.
"To have the support of the Red Wave backing the lacrosse program has been so beneficial for us," said head coach Jessica Giglio. "It is extremely rewarding for our team to have the community come out and celebrate their successes on and off the field."Â
The Lacrosse Legacy Awards Dinner helps provide new equipment, improvements to facilities and improves quality and quantity of uniforms.
"After the support we received from last season's dinner we went on to have our best season to date," Giglio said. Â
Former Fresno State football standout and NFL alumni, Cameron Worrell, will serve as the master of ceremonies during the event.Â
The Lacrosse Legacy Awards Dinner will cost $65 per person or $1,000 per table. Guests are asked to R.S.V.P to Judy Lea at (559) 278-4118 or jalea@csufresno.edu.
"Just the Ticket to Build Our Community" - The Bulldog Scholarship Fund gives Bulldog alumni, fans and friends the opportunity to support Fresno State Athletics and the student-athletes who inspire them.
