On the Alabama State match: "Both matches were tough but very different. I was happy we weathered the storm against a very savvy, unorthodox Alabama State. They took advantage of little things and played so animated we lost control of our pace, but we settled in and found ways to score and eventually win."
On the Portland Match: "Portland is a good team and serves very tough. We controlled the match early but our strength at the net slowly faded. Statistically, we beat them in blocks, matched them in digs, and made fewer attack errors than they did, but they simply took more swings and earned more kills. If we can be more mindful of our timing and be more aggressive around the net, I think we win that match."
