Bulldogs prepare for St. Mary’s Invitational

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's tennis team will be northwest bound for the second weekend in a row as they travel to Moraga, Calif., to compete in the St. Mary's Invitational at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex on Friday, Oct. 5, through Sunday, Oct. 7. The tournament will feature singles and doubles play, and coverage information is yet to be announced.
The three Bulldogs competing in the St. Mary's Invitational will be the freshman trio of Jennifer Timotin, A.C. Hummel and Jane Ellis. Hummel and Ellis will be making their collegiate debuts, while Timotin will be competing in her second tournament of the fall season. The Dublin, Ireland, native made her collegiate debut in the Battle in the Bay Classic, picking up two singles wins and teaming up with sophomore Alessia Dario for a doubles win over the course of the weekend.
Fresno State had two players competing in the Nike Cal Invitational a week ago in sophomore Alessia Dario and freshman Ella Husrefovic. The Bulldogs picked up a singles win each over the weekend, but were ultimately forced to withdraw early from the tournament due to injury.
The 'Dogs will have a weekend off before their next action, competing in the ITA Northwest Regionals, which will be held in Palo Alto, Calif., at Taube Family Stadium, Taube South and the West Campus Courts on Friday, Oct. 19, through Tuesday, Oct. 23. Stanford will host the tournament, and information regarding admission and coverage will be provided on a later date.

The 'Dogs will compete in three more tournaments this fall.
