Bulldogs to face No. 9 UCLA, No. 48 USC this weekend

This will be the second weekend this year that will see the 'Dogs face two nationally-ranked opponents in back-to-back days.

After a week off from action, Fresno State heads down to Los Angles so to take face back-to-back ranked opponents for the second time this season. The Bruins will be the second Top-10 opponents for the Bulldogs this season while USC sits just inside the Top 50 at No. 48.

Bulldogs at a glance:
The Bulldogs are 3-5 on the year after winning two of three matches two weeks ago. With three matches in two days, Fresno State defeated Cal Poly 6-1, and Santa Clara 4-3 in their first match of the season that came down to the final match. Junior Emma Wilson went 3-0 in singles play, winning two three-set matches, both coming back from down a set and trailing 3-0 in the third set. Wilson and Georgia Lawson remain the top-ranked doubles team in the Mountain West as the two sit at No. 49 in the most recent ITA rankings.
Looking at the opponents:
UCLA is 6-2 on the year with two losses coming at the ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championships to Texas Tech and Ole Miss. The Bruins feature five nationally-ranked singles players and four ranked doubles teams.
USC is 4-2 this season. Ranking just inside the Top 50, the Trojans feature two nationally ranked singles and one ranked doubles team.

Fresno State will remain on the road as the 'Dogs head north to Eugene, Oregon. The Bulldogs will face the Ducks on March 3 at 1 p.m. PT.
