Walaitis earns MPSF Rookie of the Week Honors

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State lacrosse midfielder Megan Walaitis was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Rookie of the Week for games played March 18-25.
The freshman earns her first conference weekly accolade of her career. The Carmichael, Calif. native helped lead Fresno State to a 1-0 week with a 23-3 win over Wofford. Walaitis scored a career-high four goals in the contest, notching her second career hat trick. She also recorded one assist, five points and two ground balls off the bench.
This season, Walaitis has chalked nine goals, one assist, 10 points and three ground balls for the Bulldogs.
Fresno State will return home to host UC Davis on Wednesday, April 11 at 5 p.m. PT in the Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium.
