Bulldogs open 2018 season at Woodward Park.

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State cross country opens its season on Saturday morning as the Bulldogs will co-host the Fresno Cross Country Invitational with Fresno Pacific at Woodward Park.

Participating Teams: Fresno State, UCLA, UNLV (women), Sacramento State, CSU Bakersfield (women), Fresno Pacific

BULLDOGS LINEUP
Racing on the women's side for the Bulldogs on Saturday morning will be Marlene Alcantar, Sydney Fox, Isabella Haberman, Sophie Jimenez, Maureen Jordan, Ellie Leather, Sami Shields, Sara Stevens and Hannah Wilson. The men's participants will be Jose Aispuro, Nathan Burd, Ivan Cisneros-Rodriguez (unattached), Josue Del Real, Ronaldo Delgado, Matthew Founds, Alekos Mitchel, Efren Reyes (unattached) Jaden Uphoff, Michael Viano and Ryan Walker.

BULLDOGS ROSTER BREAKDOWN FOR 2018
The men's squad returns four of its five runners from last season which includes Jose Aispuro, Matthew Founds, Alekos Mitchel, Michael Viano and Ryan Walker. Newcomers to the roster are junior Ivan Cisneros-Rodriguez and freshmen Nathan Burd, Josue Del Real, Ronaldo Delgado and Jaden Uphoff. The lone returners on the women's side are Ellie Leather and Sami Shields. Joining them is seven new athletes which includes senior Marlene Alcantar, sophomore Sara Stevens and freshmen Sydney Fox, Isabella Haberman, Sophie Jimenez, Maureen Jordan and Hannah Wilson.

LOOKING AHEAD
Fresno State will be off until Sept. 21 before heading to Las Vegas, Nevada for the UNLV XC Invitational.
