Four seniors named team captains for 2020 season

Head coach Jessica Giglio announced the lacrosse team captains on Monday
 FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State lacrosse head coach Jessica Giglio announced on Monday that seniors Kayle Kaesbauer, Marina Mayo, Laurel Maunder and Tiffiny Wallace will serve as the team's captains for the 2020 season.

"Our coaching staff is excited for this season's captains," said Giglio. "These four young women all have different perspectives on the field with their four years of playing experience at Fresno State. They each possess a unique leadership style which will allow different players to relate to them. They were chosen on their ability to positively change our lacrosse program. We are excited for their leadership to consistently bring a competitive championship mindset every day, and lead us to win our first MPSF Championship at home in front of the Red Wave."

#64 Kayle Kaesbauer - Defender
The San Diego, Calif. native started all 14 games for the Bulldogs in 2019. Last season, she accumulated 13 ground balls, three caused turnovers and a draw control. Kaesbauer is a four-year Bulldog. She is a marketing major at Fresno State and was a 2019 MPSF All-Academic selection.

#11 Laurel Maunder - Goalkeeper
Maunder has been a force in the cage throughout her Bulldog career. She has started 47 career games for Fresno State while chalking 454 saves throughout that time. A season ago, Maunder set a new program record for single-season saves (181) and became the all-time leader for career saves. She also tied the program's single-game record with 20 saves at San Diego State (April 20). In 2019, Maunder was catching attention on the national level as she finished the season as No. 2 in the NCAA in saves per game (12.93), No. 12 in saves (181) and No. 11 in save percentage (.495). She led the conference in each category. The El Dorado Hills, Calif. native was also a staple in the Bulldogs' defense as she recorded another program record in single-season ground balls (32). She also set a personal single-season record in 2019 with 11 caused turnovers. Maunder was selected to the All-MPSF team in 2019. She was also a MPSF All-Academic selection.

#6 Marina Mayo - Midfield
Mayo is a three-year starter with the Bulldog program. She has worked for 75 career goals on 217 shots in that time. Mayo fires away at the goal when she can and currently holds the program record for career shots attempted. The Park City, Utah native is also second in career shots per game (4.52), shots on goal per game (3.50) and free position goals (27). Mayo works hard in the classroom as well. She is a finance major at Fresno State and spent her summer of 2019 interning at the Ford Motor Company headquarters in Michigan. There, Mayo worked in product development to create an automated template for their newly implemented Engineering Bill of Materials software system. Mayo was a 2019 MPSF All-Academic selection.

#9 Tiffiny Wallace - Attack
Wallace, a three-time All-MPSF selection, stares at her senior year as the Fresno State all-time leading scorer. She became the first Bulldog to ever score 100 career goals and has 110 goals heading into her final season with the program. She ranked fourth in the MPSF in points, third in assists and eighth in goals a season ago.She set the program single-season goal record (44) and hat tricks (11) as a freshman in 2017. Wallace is also a two-time MPSF All-Academic selection.
