'Dogs head to Utah for Mountain West Championships

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State cross country teams are set to compete at the 2019 Mountain West Championships on Friday in Logan, Utah. Races at the Steve and Donna Reeder Cross Country Course are set to begin at 9 a.m. PT.
Fresno State enters the championships after last competing on Oct. 19 at the Bronco Invitational. It was the Bulldogs' best meet of the year as the teams saw nine of their runners combine to clock personal best times. Gabbie Lugo led the way for the Bulldog women for the second straight meet while Matthew Founds paced the men for the third meet in a row.

BULLDOGS LINEUP
Racing on the women's side for the 'Dogs on Friday morning will be Hailey Fernandez, Isabella Haberman, Jewel Jasso, Sophie Jimenez, Gabbie Lugo and Agita Svetere. The men's side will feature Nathan Burd, Matthew Founds, Jaden Uphoff, Josue Del Real, Alekos Mitchel, Sam Hawley and James Barrett.

The 'Dogs will face strong competition on Friday on as the men's 8K features a pair of top 25 teams in the Boise State (18) and Utah State (22). The women's 6K will see three teams enter the race ranked in the top 15 in New Mexico (11), Boise State (13) and Air Force (14).
