The Bulldogs scored four of the final five points in the set, but it was too little, too late as they fell 25-17 to start the match.
The second set saw the Bulldogs jump out to a 7-6 lead after a kill by junior outside hitter Amilya Thompson, but the Broncos responded with a 12-6 run to take a 18-13 lead. A kill from redshirt freshman outside hitter Lauren Sabbatini (watch) closed the Broncos' margin to four, but a 7-0 run by BSU gave the Broncos a 25-14 win.
