'Dogs wrap up regular season at Boise State & Utah State

- The 'Dogs wrap up the regular season traveling to Boise State and Utah State.
- Fresno State went 1-1 last week falling at San Diego State while sweeping Air Force at home on Senior Day.
- Seniors Madelyn Halteman, McKenzie Kramer and Montez Uigaese will play their final matches as Bulldogs this weekend.
- The 'Dogs are 2-5 at Boise State since 2012 & are 2-3 at Utah State since the Aggies joined the Mountain West in 2013.

Scouting Boise State (16-11, 8-8 MW)
- Boise State comes into Thursday's match with a 16-11 overall record & a 8-8 mark in the MW sitting in fourth place in the Mountain West.
- The Broncos have lost four of their last five matches falling to Nevada, UNLV, Wyoming and No. 12 Colorado State while sweeping New Mexico at home on Nov. 9.
- Boise State is 5-4 at home this season with wins over Idaho State, UC Irvine, Air Force, San Jose State and New Mexico.
- BSU leads the MW in total blocks (294.0) and ranks second in blocks per set (2.94).
- Sophomore middle blocker Jessica Donahue leads the MW in blocks (151) & blocks per set (1.54).
- Utah State is 2-26 on the season with a 2-14 mark in Mountain West play sitting in 11th place in the Mountain West.
- USU has lost 10 straight matches since its last win came at New Mexico on Oct. 12.
- The Falcons are 1-11 at home this season with a five-set win over San Jose State on Oct. 3.
- Utah State ranks fourth in the Mountain West in blocks per set (2.48) and fifth in total blocks with 250.
- The blocking duo of junior Bailey Downing and sophomore Corinne Larsen rank fifth and seventh in the MW in total blocks with 110 and 107, respectively.
- Fresno State has won the first set in 13 of its 28 matches of the year.
- The Bulldogs are 11-2 this year when winning the first set but only 2-13 when losing it.
- Entering the final week of Mountain West play, the 'Dogs find themselves alone in seventh place and can finish as high as fourth place or as low as 10th place.
- The Bulldogs were picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll released on Aug. 14. The 'Dogs finished second in the MW in 2018.
- Madelyn Halteman, the longest tenured Bulldog and the lone fifth-year senior on the 2019 roster, became just the fifth player in program history to record 3,000 career assists as she reached the plateau during the second set against CSU Bakersfield on Sept. 5.
- Halteman moved into third place in program history in career assists at No. 15 CSU on Oct. 10 and enters Thursday with 3,815 career assists as she is 530 away from second place (Diann Aufdermaur - 4,345).
- Halteman is currently fourth in program history in career aces with 133. She sits only three shy of third place (Korrin Wild -136).Â
- She also moved into the top 10 in career sets played on Nov. 9 against Wyoming and currently sits in sixth.

Senior 'Dogs
- In addition to Halteman, two other Bulldog seniors will play their final two matches at Fresno State as Montez Uigaese and McKenzie Kramer round out the senior class.
- A native of Long Beach, Uigaese has played in 60 career matches and 181 sets while totaling 191 kills, 108 total blocks, 72 digs and 18 service aces.Â
- A graduate transfer from the University of Montana, Kramer has seen action in 21 matches this season while playing in 60 sets. A native of Temecula, Calif., Â she matched her season-high seven kills against Air Force on Saturday and had a season-high seven blocks against UNLV on Oct. 5.
- Finally, Halteman ranks third in Bulldog program history in career assists (3,815), fourth in career aces (133) and sixth in sets played (442) to go along with 154 kills, 850 digs and 143 total blocks.
- Junior Desiree Sukhov leads the Mountain West with 3.98 kills and ranks second in the MW with 4.59 points per set.
- Her 3.98 kills per set ranks 54th in NCAA Div. I and she has led the team in kills in 17 of 28 matches this year.
- In the 'Dogs five-set win over Santa Clara on Sept. 6, Sukhov tallied 30 kills, tied for the fourth most kills in a match in program history and the most since Korrin Wild had 31 kills in a match in 2012.
- A big factor in Fresno State's defensive success has been depth in digging helping the squad rank fifth in the MW in digs per set at 14.03.Â
- Reagan Leonard leads the way with 4.50 digs per set to rank second in the MW.
- Leonard moved into sixth place in program history in digs on Saturday against Air Force passing Christina Lee (2011-14) and now has 1,253 career digs.
- Fresno State ranks second in the MW and 12th nationally with 1.80 service aces per set while having more aces than its opponent in 19 of 28 matches with a 176-117 edge in aces for the year.
- Halteman leads the team and ranks second in the MW with 41 aces while Grace Doyle has added  29 and Jocelyn Rodriguez & Desiree Sukhov has 27.
- The 'Dogs matched a program-record with 17 service aces against Wyoming on Nov. 9.
- 10 of the 'Dogs 13 victories this season have come by sweep.
- The 'Dogs last eight victories have all been sweeps.
- Six of the 'Dogs seven victories at home this season have been by sweep.
- The 'Dogs last had 10 sweeps in a season in 2015 and you have to go back to 2002 to find a season with more than 10 as Fresno State finished that season with 15.
- Dating back to the final two home matches of the 2016 season, the Bulldogs have won 25 of their last 37 home matches.Â
- Fresno State finished 7-5 at home this season after going 9-4 in the Save Mart Center last year and the squad has had a winning home record for four straight years and in seven of the last eight seasons.
- Sukhov enters the 'Dogs final two matches averaging 3.98 kills per set, 0.04 shy of entering the top 10 in kills per set in a single season (Barbie Snyder - 1985: 4.02)
- Halteman is five services aces shy of moving into the top 10 in services aces in a single season (Christy Burnett - 2002: 46)
- Halteman is currently tied for No. 10 in aces per set in a single season at 0.42 with Ruth Lawanson (1984)
- Leonard is 13 digs shy of moving into the top 10 for digs (Diana Nalbandian & Tricia Tuley - 454). Leonard holds the single season digs record at 605 set last season.
- Leonard's 4.50 digs per set currently sits fifth in a single season in program history. Her 4.65 digs per set in 2018 ranks third.
