- Fresno State sits in third place in the Mountain West standings at 6-2, one game back of leaders New Mexico and Boise State.
- Fresno State is in the midst of a six game stretch in which all six opponents rank in the top six of the conference (0-1). The six games include two against New Mexico.
- Averaging over 70 points per game, the Bulldogs have been held to three of their lowest scoring outputs of the season within the last two weeks.Â
- Fresno State's double-digit scoring trio has remained the same from a year ago: Aly Gamez (11.6 ppg), Maddi Utti (11.5 ppg) and Candice White (19.3 ppg).
- Reaching double figures in scoring in all but one game this season, Candice White leads the MW in scoring by 2.7 points per game. With six 20-point outings in eight conference games, the senior is averaging 22.3 points in MW games.
- Shooting 55.4 percent from the field, Maddi Utti leads the MW in field goal percentage. The do-it-all sophomore also ranks fourth in the league in steals (2.0 spg), seventh in rebounding (6.8 rbg) and 14th in scoring (11.5 ppg).Â
- The 'Dogs rank 10th in the NCAA in free-throw percentage, knocking them down at a clip of 77.2 percent. Hitting 32-of-37 on the season, Utti's 86.5 percent leads the team. Fresno State's top six scorers are each shooting over 76 percent from the line on the year.
- New Mexico enters Saturday's matchup with a 17-2 record, going 7-1 in conference play to lead the Mountain West.
- The Lobos are receiving votes in both polls, rankings as high No. 27 in the Coaches Poll.
- The only two blemishes on the Lobos' record came in a three-point loss to Auburn, 79-76, in the WNIT quarterfinals and a 66-57 loss to UNLV in Las Vegas.
- New Mexico's most notable win came over Oklahoma, defeating the sooners 84-80 at home.
- The Lobos are riding a five-game winning streak, with each of those wins coming in conference, heading into the contest.
- New Mexico currently ranks on top of the Mountain West in 12 team categories recognized by the NCAA.
- The Lobos are stout defensively, ranking second in the nation and leading the conference in blocks per game with a 6.6 average on the season.
- New Mexico is also sixth in the nation and atop the conference in rebounds per game, averaging 45.1 per contest.
- At +13.6 per game, the Lobos are No. 29 in the NCAA and lead the conference in scoring margin.
- New Mexico's stout record puts it at No. 11 in the country and No. 1 in the Mountain West in win-loss percentage at 89.5 percent.
- Redshirt junior guard Aisia Robertson does it all for the Lobos, ranking fifth in the nation and first in conference in assists per game and triple doubles, averaging 7.3 apg an outing with one triple double on the season. Robertson also leads the Mountain West in steals per game with a 2.5 average.
- Senior forward Nike McClure leads New Mexico down low, ranking 10th in the NCAA and first in conference in blocks on the season with 50 to date.
- Jaisa Nunn leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.3 ppg with the top field goal percentage in the Mountain West at 55.3 percent.
- New Mexico holds the all-time series lead, 13-10.
- The 'Dogs and Lobos each have a four-game winning streak through the series, with Fresno State's coming from the 2012-13 season through the 2014-15 season.Â
- New Mexico's streak began in the 2016-17 season and is currently ongoing.
- Fresno State's last victory in Fresno was a 51-43 win at home on Feb. 27, 2016.
