Notes:
- In what is now the eighth-year of the El Macero Classic, Fresno State won the inaugural event in 2012. At that time it was named the Winchester Classic before being renamed the El Macero Classic in 2014.
- Fresno State last participated in this event in the spring of 2017. The Bulldogs have competed in the event five of the previous seven times it's been held.
- Alex Lee holds the most experience at the El Macero Classic. He participated in it during his freshman and sophomore seasons. Lee carded a 13-over 229 (T-42nd) as a freshman and a 1-over 217 (2nd) as a sophomore.
- While the first four in the lineup remain the same (Lee, Stephenson, Huff & Riecks) for the third consecutive tournament, Michael Cliff re-enters the lineup this week at the No. 5 position; Cliff last competed March 4-5 at the Sacramento State Invitational.
- The El Macero Classic features 15 teams, three of which are top 50 ranked team (No. 10 Texas Tech, No. 48 Nevada and No. 50 SMU). The Bulldogs are currently No. 118.
- The El Macero Classic marks the end of the regular season for Fresno State; its next event will be the Mountain West Championships, April 26-28.
- By finishing in second place last time out, the Bulldogs posted their best of the season, just one event after notching a fifth place finish – their previous top finish of the season.
- The 'Dogs carded their best single round team score vs. par (18-under 266) in the last 25 years during the second round of the SeattleU Invitational on April 1 at Chambers Bay.
- Lee returns to action after picking up Mountain West Men's Golfer of the Week honors following the Bulldogs' last event, the SeattleU Invitational at Chambers Bay. The senior earned that distinction for the first time in his career after carding 67-68-68 and finishing solo fourth among 102 individuals.
- Freshman Tommy Stephenson, who shot a 9-under 62 in the second round of the SeattleU Invitational, carded the lowest score by a Bulldog on record dating back to the 1993-94 season, surpassing a trio of golfers in that span that posted 63 – Todd Angel, Bhavik Patel and Nick Watney.
- Lee leads the team with a 71.56 scoring average over 27 rounds this season.
- Lee has carded four rounds in the 60's, out of the last five rounds he's played.
- Weather at the El Macero Classic on Friday (High 74F, Low 48F) is forecasted to have a zero percent chance of rain and 20-30 mph winds; Saturday (High 77F, Low 51F) is forecasted to have a 10 percent chance of rain and 5-10 winds; Sunday (High 72F, Low 47F) is forecasted to have a 10 percent chance of rain and 10-15 winds.
