- Fresno State has won three straight MW series and eight of its last 10 MW games. The Bulldogs have won 15 of their last 18 games overall, hitting .336 with a 2.16 team ERA during the stretch.
- Schuylar Broussard hit 5-for-10 with 4 home runs, 6 RBI, and 6 runs in three games at Utah State. She homered in all three games with a pair of 2-run homers in the final to clinch the series sweep.
- Broussard also made a sensational diving catch for the final out in the Utah State series. Her play ranked No. 7 on the Sportscenter Top-10 on Saturday night and has over 30k views on social media.
- Fresno State hit .340 with seven home runs and 23 runs scored in the sweep at Utah State. The 'Dogs lead the MW in on-base percentage (.405) and are tied for second in steals (46) this season.
- Freshman McKenzie Wilson leads the 'Dogs in batting average (.379), stolen bases (30), and runs scored (37). She leads the MW in steals and is just four shy of the single-season program record.
- Fresno State is 22-7 in non-conference games this year and had a 15-game non-conference winning streak. The 'Dogs or 0-3 against Pac-12 schools, facing No. 2/2 UCLA twice and Oregon State once, and and are 0-3 against ranked teams (UCLA (2) and Tennessee)
- The Bulldogs beat Stanford twice last year and have won four straight games vs. the Cardinal. Stanford is 23-5 in non-conference games this year and won at then-No. 7 LSU earlier this season.

Scouting Stanford (30-10, 7-5 Pac-12)
- Stanford was swept by No. 7/5 Arizona over the weekend, being outscored 29-3, but is still 30-10 this season with a 23-5 record in non-conference games.
- As of Monday, Stanford is ranked No. 24 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll and is receiving votes in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches' poll. Updated rankings will be released Tuesday morning.
- The Cardinal have two wins over nationally ranked teams this year, beating then-No. 7 LSU and then-No. 23 Northwestern, but has also lost to CSUN and Colorado State and was defeated by UNLV twice
- Teaghan Cowles is among the top hitters in the Pac-12 hitting .409 with 5 home runs and 30 runs scored and is one of five Cardinal hitters with a .315 or better batting average. The squad is hitting .293/.461/.388 on the season and averaging slightly over five runs per game.
- Stanford is one of the few softball teams that uses a designated closer, as Kiana Pancino ranks second in the nation with eight saves but is also 7-0 with a 2.64 ERA on the year. The top Cardinal starter, Carolyn Lee, is 10-4 with a 2.98 ERA on the year as the team has a 3.11 combined ERA.
- Fresno State has won four straight games against Stanford including a pair of wins last year, one of which came in Palo Alto. The 'Dogs have not lost to the Cardinal since 2011 and are 19-13 all-time against the team. The last time the 'Dogs hosted Stanford was in the NCAA Regionals in 2006.
- Junior Schuylar Broussard homered in each game in Fresno State's three-game sweep of Utah State, including a pair of two-run home runs in the finale.
- Over the three games Broussard hit 5-for-10 (.500) with four home runs, six RBIs, and six runs scored with a .545 on-base percentage and 1.700 slugging percentage.
- Broussard entered the series with two home runs on the season and seven in her collegiate career and she recorded her first career two-homer game on Saturday.
- She also made a sensational diving catch for the final out in the series finale to complete the series sweep. The play was No. 7 on the Sportscenter Top-10 on Saturday night and has been shared by NCAA Softball on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, garnering tens of thousands of views.
- With its last victory on Saturday Fresno State secured a 30-win season for the 38th consecutive year. The program has had an overall winning record in all 41 seasons of its existence.
- In its storied history Fresno State has won 23 conference titles, 59 NCAA Regional games, and 93 total postseason games, reaching the Women's College World Series 12 times with four runner-up finishes and winning the 1998 NCAA title.
- After earning its first conference sweep of the season at Utah State, Fresno State has won three straight MW series and eight of its last 10 conference games.
- Over the last 10 league games the 'Dogs have hit .303 with nine home runs and have outscored their opposition 53-33.
- The Bulldogs won 2-of-3 games against both UNLV and Nevada before the sweep at Nevada, moving into a tie for third in the conference standings with three weeks remaining in the regular season.
- Last Thursday Fresno State freshman outfielder McKenzie Wilson was named one of 25 finalist for the Schutt Sports / NFCA Freshman of the Year award, awarded annually to the top freshman in NCAA Div. I. She is the first Bulldog to ever make the list and one of two MW players honored this year.
- Wilson leads the MW with 30 stolen bases this year, the third most stolen bases in a season in program history. She is just five steals shy of the single-season program record of 34, set by Brenna Moss twice in 2013 and 2014.
- She has had at least one stolen base in 18 of the last 29 games with multiple steals in seven different games, including three steals in the opener at Utah State.
- She also leads the team hitting .379 and with 37 runs scored as well as six 3-hit games.
- Fresno State is 17-4 at home this season with still seven more home games to play. The 2019 'Dogs have equaled the most home wins since the 2015 team went 20-6 at home.
- In 21 home game the Bulldogs have hit .338 with 51 extra-base hits and scored 113 runs while also going 32-for-38 in stolen base attempts.Â
- The Fresno State pitchers have combined for a 1.63 ERA and .193 opposing batting average at home as all three pitchers have ERA's below 2.70 this season at Margie Wright Diamond.Â
- The Red Wave has averaged 1,063 fans per game over the first 21 Bulldog home games. That average is the highest among all 20 Div. I schools in California (including No. 2 UCLA), third highest among all non-Power-5 schools, and 16th most in all of NCAA Div. I.
- Fresno State's total of 22,342 fans this season is the 11th highest in the nation and second among non-Power-5s.
- No other MW team has averaged more than 454 fans per game this year, less than half of the 'Dogs average. Fresno State has averaged more than 1,000 fans per game for 26 consecutive seasons.Â
- The 'Dogs are 15-3 in their last 18 games overall, including a seven-game win streak.
- Over the last 18 games the Bulldogs have hit .336 as a team while averaging 5.8 runs per game. The pitchers have combined for a 2.16 ERA and .217 opposing batting averaging with just 38 earned runs allowed in 123.0 innings.
- McKenzie Wilson and Hayleigh Galvan are hitting better than .400 in the stretch and pitchers Hailey Dolcini and Danielle Lung both have ERAs under 2.00.
- Fresno State is undefeated at 25-0 this season when scoring first.
- The 'Dogs are 14-0 when leading after the first inning and 23-0 when leading after the second inning
- The Bulldogs have just two losses this season in games in which they held a lead at any point.Â
- Rachel Minogue is the fifth-toughest player to strike out in NCAA Div. I, having struck out just twice in 137 official at-bats this season.
- Minogue previously ranked as the toughest player to strike out with just one K over her first 118 at-bats of the year before striking out for just the second time on April 13.
- Minogue went 31 games between strikeouts and has just two strikeouts in 154 total plate appearances this year after striking out just six times all last year.
- Minogue is also second on the team hitting .350 this year and is tied for the team lead with 35 RBIs.
- With six shutout wins over the last 17 games Fresno State leads the MW with 11 shutouts this season.
- Hailey Dolcini has five complete game shutouts and has pitched in seven total shutouts to lead the team.
- The Bulldogs, who have been shutout offensively only five times this year, tallied just seven shutouts all of last season and have recorded the most shutouts in a season since the 2015 team finished with 14.
- Bulldog senior center fielder Vanessa Hernandez leads the MW with 18 doubles this year, tied for fourth most in NCAA Div. I and the fifth most doubles in a season in program history.
- Hernandez is also tied for the team lead with six home runs and 35 RBIs. She has driven in multiple runs in 11 games this year with 11 multi-hit games.
