Galet and Krats earn MPSF All-Tournament honors

DAVIS, Calif. - The Fresno State lacrosse team had a pair of student-athletes earn a spot on the 2019 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Tournament Team in junior midfielder Kayla Galet and sophomore midfielder Hannah Krats.

The pair combined for five goals and two assists in the Bulldogs' semifinal game against San Diego State.

Krats fired for two goals, one assist and four draw controls, while Galet added three goals, an assist and three draws in the opening game of the 2019 MPSF Championship Tournament.

The No. 3-seeded Fresno State fell to the No. 2-seed San Diego State in the semifinals in a hard-fought battle on Friday, April 26, 18-15. Fresno State finished its season with a 7-7 record. The Aztecs went on to defeat UC Davis in the championship game for their second consecutive MPSF championship title.

Krats finished her season with 20 goals, 16 assists, 18 ground balls, 12 draw controls and nine caused turnovers.

Galet was second on the team with 31 goals while adding three assists, 10 ground balls, 27 draw controls and five caused turnovers in her junior campaign.

Both Fresno State student-athletes earn the honor for the first time in their careers and become the fourth and fifth All-Tournament selections in program history as Abigail Bergevin and Lindsay Hobson were named to the 2018 All-Tournament Team for Fresno State's first selections since Christina Cabias in 2009.
