Woodruff earns ACWPC All-American Honors

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State water polo sophomore Callie Woodruff earned Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches Division I All-America Team honors. She received honorable mention accolades as one of just 54 All-Americans.
"It's a tremendous honor to be selected as an Honorable Mention All-American, and we are proud of Callie for earning this special recognition," said head coach Natalie Benson.
Woodruff was a key contributor on both ends off the pool during the 2019 season, playing in all 29 games. She was second on the team in goals with 52, also swiped 21 steals and dished 20 assists. Additionally, she logged a team-high 72 points and drew 31 exclusions.
The Baytown, Texas native recorded multiple goals in 15 games and notched nine hat tricks throughout the season. Woodruff was named the GCC Player of the Week on Feb. 14 and March 5. She was also an All-Golden Coast Conference Second Team selection.
Woodruff is the second Bulldog to be named an ACWPC All-American, teammate Emily Nicholson was named an honorable mention selection in 2018.
