Fresno State & Colorado State: All-Time Series History
Fresno State has won six of its last nine meetings with Colorado State. Â The Bulldogs are 1-2 against the Rams in the last two seasons with head coach Justin Hutson, which includes an 86-68 loss in Fort Collins two weeks ago on Jan. 22. Â Fresno State beat CSU 78-67 last season at the Save Mart Center on Jan. 5, 2019. Â The Bulldogs are 13-2 all-time against the Rams in games played in Fresno (6-2 in contests at the Save Mart Center).
A proven winner and consistent contender in the Mountain West
Fresno State has fielded six of the 22 freshmen who have appeared in games so far for Mountain West teams. Â Fresno State leads the league with freshmen averaging 100.3 minutes per game, which is nearly half of the Bulldogs' minutes per game average (49.0 percent). Â Fresno State's freshmen have accounted for 2,206 of the team's 4,500 total minutes played (49.0 percent) this season. Â Fresno State freshmen Orlando Robinson (12.9 ppg) and Jarred Hyder (10.1 ppg) lead the way for Fresno State's now six freshmen, who have scored 698 of the Bulldogs' 1,515 points for an average of 30.8 points of the team's 68.2 points per game (46.1 percent). Â Robinson is the only Bulldog to play in all 22 games this season.
Three Bulldogs represent Fresno State in NBA
Former Fresno State basketball players Paul George (2008-10), Tyler Johnson (2010-14) and Paul Watson (2013-17) are three of the 31 former Bulldogs to have played in the NBA. George is in his tenth NBA season and first with the Los Angeles Clippers after being drafted 10th overall in 2010 by the Indiana Pacers, who he played for from 2010-17, and then two seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2017-19.  Meanwhile, Johnson just concluded his fifth season in the NBA, and plays for the Phoenix Suns after starting his career by playing over four and a half seasons for the Miami Heat.  Watson signed a 10-day contract with the Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 6, 2020 and appeared in two games with the Hawks.  Watson then signed a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors on Jan. 15, 2020.
