Mendolicchio garners MW Swimmer of the Week honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State senior Manuela Mendolicchio has been named Mountain West Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Mendolicchio is the first Bulldog to win a weekly accolade this season. This marks the fourth weekly MW award of her career.
The Bari, Italy native led the Bulldogs to a 203-94 victory over San Jose State on Saturday taking first place in four events, including three individual events and one relay.
Mendolicchio set a pool record in the 200 breast with a time of 2:14.07. The senior logged her season-best dual times in the 100 breast (1:03.32) and the 200 IM (2:05.78). She was also a member of the 400 medley relay team that took first with a time of 3:46.83.
Overall, Mendolicchio helped tally 38 points for the Bulldogs in their win.
