Wendy Martell jersey unveiling  Â
On Feb. 8, Fresno State will celebrate the jersey unveiling of former All-American Wendy Martell at halftime against the Bulldogs' game against UNLV. Martell made school history not only by rewriting the Fresno State record book, but also by becoming the first women's basketball player, the third female athlete and only the seventh Fresno State athlete to have her jersey number (34) retired. The 5-foot-4 guard was the 1986-87 Fresno State co-Female Athlete of the Year and team Most Valuable Player, led the Bulldogs to what was at the time the four winningest seasons in school history, including three consecutive 20-win seasons and a final 1986-87 record of 22-8.
- Martell ranks fifth on the program's career points list with 1,595. She is also among the top-five all-time in assists (480) and steals (224).
Bulldog Bones
With Fresno State's win over Colorado State on Wednesday, the Bulldogs improved their longest win streak to open a Mountain West season (12-0). It surpassed the 9-0 start that occurred during Jaime White's first season in Fresno.
- This year's win streak to open conference play is the second-longest in Fresno State history behind the 16 in 2009-10.

The Bulldogs are one of only two teams nationally to currently hold a 12-0 record in conference play. Fresno State is the only one which is not ranked as Gonzaga is No. 11.
The streak  Â
Fresno State is currently leading the Mountain West with a 11-game win streak. It is the fourth-longest streak in program history.
- Fresno State's longest streaks in its history are 19 (2009-10), 13 (2014-15) and 12 (2011-12).
They're explosive
When any of the Bulldogs' top three scorers makes a couple shots in a row, look out. Through the first 22 games of the season, one of the members of the trio had scored at least 10 points in a quarter 15 times. Until Game No. 23 at Colorado State, no other player on the team has scored 10 points in a quarter, but Aly Gamez changed that with 11 in 29-point second quarter outburst for the BulldogsÂ
- Haley Cavinder has scored at least 10 points in a period a team-best seven times.
- Haley has posted a team-high 14 points in a quarter at New Mexico which included a 10-0 run by herself in 63 seconds.

- The 18-point win at Colorado State was the Bulldogs' second-largest in league play, and its largest ever against the Rams.
- During the last four weeks, Fresno State has overcome four fourth-quarter double-digit deficits (10, 12, 12, 16).
- In the last nine games, the Bulldogs have earned seven wins by single digits (2, 3, 5, 5, 6, 7, 9). During the stretch, three of those wins saw the 'Dogs held well below their season average, while the other five saw them score at least 79
- Fresno State ranks No. 18 in the nation with a program-best 77.0 points per game.
- The 'Dogs are 16-0 this season when scoring more than 70 points, yet are 3-4 when it does not reach 70. All three wins when below have come since Jan. 15.
- The Bulldogs rank No. 9 in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.38) and No. 8 in turnovers per game (11.9). Both numbers are on pace to break program records.
- Fresno State is one of three teams in the country to have three players average over 15 points per game (Fresno State, Oregon, UConn).
