Breaking Into the Rankings
Fresno State is ranked No. 25 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll, and is receiving votes in the ESPN/USA Softball poll.
Fresno State is 1-2 against ranked teams after falling to then-ranked No. 7 Florida (6-4) and then-ranked No. 17 Michigan (1-0) during the opening weekend. The Bulldogs picked up their first win versus a ranked team since beating No. 25 BYU in 2017 by defeating No. 3 Texas (4-3) at the Judi Garman Classic this past Saturday.

Nationally Speaking
Fresno State leads the nation in triples with 20 this season. The Bulldogs are No. 10 in stolen bases (47), No. 34 in fielding percentage (.972) and No. 37 in on-base percentage (.400).
McKenzie Wilson is No. 2 in stolen bases per game (1.10), No. 13 in hits (30) and No. 16 in runs per game (1.25). Schuylar Broussard is tied for No. 4 in triples (4) and No. 5 in RBIs (28). Alesia Denby also ranks No. 4 in triples with 4.

Dolcini is Dealing
Junior RHP Hailey Dolcini owns a 7-1 record in the circle and a 1.62 ERA. In eight starts, she has recorded two shutouts and dished 59 strikeouts.

Dolcini was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week on March 3. Dolcini finished the weekend with a 2-0 record, touting the 4-3 victory over No. 3 Texas. Dolcini pitched 13 innings, logged 15 strikeouts and limited opposing batters to a .208 batting average.
Dolcini logged a career-high 15 strikeouts in the Bulldogs' 1-0 victory over UCI on Feb. 21.
Home Cooking
In the first 10 games at home this season the Bulldogs are 10-0, hitting .327 with 25 stolen bases and a 2.15 team ERA, outscoring their opposition 80-25.
Fresno State went 23-5 at home last season. The 2019 'Dogs recorded the most home wins since the 2012 team finished 24-8 at home.Â
Picked 5th
Fresno State was picked to finish fifth in the Mountain West. The Spartans led the way with 53 points (two first place votes), after posting a second place finish in 2019 with a 17-7 MW record. San Diego State was picked to finish second (50 points, three first place votes) and a tie between 2019 MW champion Colorado State (45 points, one first place vote) and UNLV (45 points, one first place vote) rounds out the top three positions. Fresno State received 44 points (one first place vote) followed by Boise State, Nevada, Utah State and New Mexico.
The Bulldogs finished fourth in the MW in 2019, with an overall record of 37-20 (14-10 MW).

Fresno State recorded a 30-win season for the 38th consecutive year in 2019. The program has had an overall winning record in all 42 seasons of its existence.

- Senior shortstop Schuylar Broussard had a big weekend at the plate at the Judi Garman Classic batting .455, going 5-of-11, with three home runs, seven RBIs and a 1.273 slugging percentage.
- Fresno State boasts five players batting above .300 in McKenzie Wilson (.462), Miranda Rohleder (.353), Schuylar Broussard (.344), Kaitlyn Jennings (.333) and Vanessa Hernandez (.308).
- Fresno State returned seven position player starters and its entire bullpen for the 2020 season.
- The 'Dogs returned five All-MW selections in pitcher Hailey Dolcini, pitcher Danielle Lung, third baseman Schuylar Broussard, designated player and NFCA All-Region selection Hayleigh Galvan, and outfielder McKenzie Wilson, who was the 2019 MW Freshman of the Year.

Senior Rylee Jensen-McFarland was named the National Fastpitch Coaches Association National Player of the Week (March 4), after she finished the weekend batting .643 (9-for-14) with eight RBI and seven runs scored. Jensen-McFarland also earned WCC Player of the Week accolades for the second consecutive weekend. The Cougars come into classic with a .251 batting average and a 1.94 ERA.
- NDSU is 7-11 this season, and 7-11Â away from home. The Bison are coming off a 2-2 weekend at the Sam Houston Bearkat Invitational. NDSU is hitting .255, averaging 3.11 runs per game and owns a 3.88 ERA. NDSU is 6-1 when scoring in the first inning. For the eight consecutive year, NDSU was named the Summit League preseason favorite.
- ECU is 11-7 this season, and 5-5Â away from home. The Pirates have won seven of their last nine games. ECU is coming off a 3-2 weekend at the Liberty Spring Classic. Junior RHP Erin Poepping was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor roll after a big weekend for the Pirates finishing with a 2-0 record, 0.50 ERA and 10 strikeouts. ECU enters the Bulldog Classic batting .280 as a team.
- UC Davis is 12-10 this season, and 3-7Â away from home. The Aggies are coming off a 4-1 loss to Sacramento State. Left fielder Alyse Rojas leads the offense with a .494 batting average, .802 slugging percentage, five home runs and 16 RBIs. The Aggies are strong at the plate batting .309, but own a 4.04 ERA in the circle.
