Paul George, who played at Fresno State from 2008-10, scored 32 points in the Los Angeles Clippers’ 113-107 win against the Denver Nuggets in game three of the Western Conference semifinals.
ORLANDO – With the series tied entering game three of the Western Conference semifinals, Paul George scored 32 points to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 113-107 win over the Denver Nuggets on Monday at ESPN's Wide World of Sports.
George's team-high 32 points came on a 12-for-18 shooting (66.7 percent) performance, including a 5-for-7 effort from beyond the 3-point arc. George also had four rebounds, four assists and two steals in the game three victory.
George is now one of three players – along with Sam Cassell and Chris Paul – in the Clippers' franchise history to score at least 32 points and make five 3-pointers in a playoff game.
In Los Angeles' first three games of the series with the Nuggets, George has averaged 24.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field in an average over 38 minutes per contest.
Los Angeles and Denver will meet in game four on Wednesday at 6 p.m. PT on ESPN, with game five scheduled for Friday. If necessary, game six would be Sunday (Sept. 13) and game seven would be next Tuesday, Sept. 15.
George, who played at Fresno State from 2008-10, is in his 10th season in the NBA and first with the Clippers.
