Tykha named MW Diver of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Senior diver Yuliya Tykha earned Mountain West Diver of the Week honors, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Winning the 1-Meter springboard at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational over the weekend, the Zaporozhye, Ukraine native scored a career-best 284.50 in the event helping the 'Dogs finish fourth as a team.
The senior, who also finished sixth on the 3-Meter, earned her first career MW weekly honor and is coming off competing at the Zone E Diving Championships last season on both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter and earned All-Mountain West honors on the 1-Meter, 3-Meter and Platform.
The 'Dogs return to the pool hosting Nevada on Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. PT.
