'Dogs downed by Aggies in four sets

LOGAN, Utah -Â The Fresno State volleyball team fell in four sets at Utah State on Saturday at Estes Center.
Fresno State (9-9, 5-5 MW) dropped sets, 20-25, 25-18, 14-25, 18-25 to Utah State (16-6, 8-2 MW).
How It Happened
With a kill by Ella Rud giving the 'Dogs a 17-14 lead and forcing a Utah State timeout, the Aggies came out of the break on fire finishing off the set on an 11-3 tear to take the set by five.
The Bulldogs evened the match at one set apiece in the second set breaking a 12-12 tie with a 4-0 run. A kill by Utah State brought the home team within two at 18-16, but the 'Dogs closed out the set on fire with seven of the final nine points as a kill by Doyle ended the set.
Set three saw the Aggies jump out to a 16-9 lead and score seven of the set's final eight points to take win by 11. The Aggies closed out the match in the fourth set using an 8-3 run down the stretch to take the set by seven.

The 'Dogs stay on the road next week traveling to Nevada (3-17, 0-9 MW) on Thursday and San Jose State (13-7, 7-3 MW) on Saturday.
