'Dogs fall to No. 10 Oregon

Kelcey Carrasco and Hayleigh Galvan accounted for the Bulldogs' only two hits in the contest. Carrasco tallied an RBI single in the first and Galvan recorded a standup double in the second.

After Galvan's hit in the second, Oregon's Brooke Yanez retired the next 17 'Dogs in order to earn a complete-game win. Yanez earned her third win of the season and the Ducks moved to 6-0, while Fresno State dropped to 2-4.
Fresno State's Dariana Orme pitched 5.1 innings in relief for starter Danielle Lung who left the circle after 1.2 innings of work. Lung allowed five hits and six runs in the loss. Orme was charged with two runs in the third and kept the Ducks off the scoreboard in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings until they tacked on two more in the seventh.
The loss to Oregon ends Fresno State's 17-game win streak at home, dating back to the start of the 2020 season.
Up next – Fresno State will have a rematch against No. 10 Oregon at 10 a.m. tomorrow, followed by a game against UCSB at 12:30 p.m.
