'Dogs head back to Colorado for Championships at the Peak

FRESNO, Calif. – A week after opening up the season in Colorado, the Fresno State women's track & field team returns to the Cadet Field House this weekend to compete in the Championships at the Peak. The field features some of the top teams from across the western half of the country.

Covington shines in opening week
At the Air Force Collegiate Open, Breanna Covington strung together three attempts in the triple jump that surpassed her previous best. On her final attempt, the senior registered a mark of 12.43m/40-9 which moved her just behind fourth on the school's all-time list.
DiPaulo grabs first career win
In her first meet of the season, Amelia DiPaola earned the first event win of her Bulldog career. Landing a mark of 13.34m/43-9.25 on her third attempt in the shot put, the sophomore narrowly edged out Air Force's Addyson Smith who finished the competition with a toss of 13.33m/43-9.

Fresno State will turn its attention to the outdoor season beginning on March 6 at the California Central Invitational hosted by Fresno Pacific.
