Fresno State sophomore forward Orlando Robinson recorded his 11th double-double of the season in the Bulldogs' 72-62 season-ending loss to Colorado State in the Mountain West quarterfinals.

LAS VEGAS – The sixth-seeded Fresno State men's basketball team lost 72-62 to the third-seeded Colorado State Rams on Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the 2021 Air Force Reserve Mountain West Men's Basketball Championships.

Fresno State (12-12) shrunk an 11-point deficit to just one when Orlando Robinson converted an old-fashioned 3-point play with a lay-up and a free throw with 6:43 to play, but the Bulldogs got no closer.

Robinson finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season, while Deon Stroud added 15 points in 17 minutes before fouling out and Junior Ballard drained four 3-pointers for his 12 points in the contest.

Colorado State (18-5) is now two wins away from securing a spot in the 2021 NCAA Tournament and also has a chance for an at-large bid, if the Rams don't win the MW's automatic bid. Isaiah Stevens had a team-high 16 points for CSU, who as a team shot 52 percent from the field.

This was just Fresno State's second loss in its last five appearances in the MW quarterfinals.
This was the fourth time that Fresno State and Colorado State have met in the MW Tournament with the 'Dogs having won two of those four contests played in Las Vegas.
Fresno State sophomore forward Orlando Robinson recorded his 11th double-double of the season (16th of his career) with 16 points and 10 rebounds, which currently ranks as the second-most double-doubles this season by any MW men's basketball student-athlete.
Fresno State finished the season by making at least 10 3-pointers in six games, including four of its last six games for a total of 54 in those six final contests.
Fresno State did outrebound Colorado State 33-32, including a 9-3 advantage on the offensive glass.
