’Dogs earn Top 5 finish at Chambers

The Fresno State men’s golf team finished in fifth place in the 2021 SeattleU Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay Golf Course.
UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – The Fresno State men's golf team earned its best finish of the spring with a fifth-place showing in the 15-team field competing in the 2021 SeattleU Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay Golf Course.
Fresno State was led by Matthew Manganello, who tied for 12th in the 88-man individual competition at even par, while Michael Cliff and Tommy Stephenson also finished in the Top 20 at 2-over-par in the three-round tournament.
Fresno State is next scheduled to compete in the El Marcero Classic on April 10-12 in Davis, Calif., which is slated to be the Bulldogs' final spring competition before the 2021 Mountain West Championships. The conference tournament will be held April 30-May 1 at Tucson National in Arizona.
