Song hired as assistant coach

Calvin Song has joined Denise Dy’s staff as an assistant coach for the Fresno State’s women’s tennis team.
FRESNO, Calif. – Calvin Song has been hired as an assistant coach for the Fresno State women's tennis program. Song started the assignment in February.

"Calvin's passion, commitment and experience in college tennis will help build the culture of our program," Fresno State head women's tennis coach Denise Dy said of Song. "I am extremely excited that he has joined our Bulldogs' family and look forward to working with him as we bring Fresno State back to competitive success in the Mountain West."

Song graduated from Iowa State in 2016 after serving as a student assistant coach and manager for the Cyclones' women's tennis team for two seasons.

Song's experience has been focused in skill and player development, while also managing tournaments and events, which has included working as a tennis director and assistant tennis professional for multiple organizations.

Song also has volunteer coaching experience at Wake Forest (men's tennis) and Iowa (women's tennis).
