THE BRACKET
The NCEA announced its seedings on Mar. 30. The Bulldogs learned they will be the No. 7 seed at the event. The nation's top eight squads get the chance to compete in the dual discipline event. If a team has to withdraw from championship play due to COVID-19 related issues, the competition will be counted as a "no contest" and the opponent will automatically advance.

NCEA DUAL DISCIPLINE CHAMPIONSHIP
The top eight-ranked dual discipline teams are invited to compete in the NCEA National Championship Dual Discipline Championship. The championship is designed as a bracketed single elimination tournament. Each team will compete head-to-head with four riders in each of the Events: Fences and Flat for the Jumping Seat events and Reining and Horsemanship for the Western events. The team that scores the most points (16 possible points available for each matchup) will advance to the next round. Day 1 includes quarterfinals play; Day 2 includes semi-final play; Day 3 concludes with the championship round.

QUICK LOOK AT THE 'DOGS
Fresno State enters the 2021 National Championship with a 5-5 record. The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 5-3 mark, including four top 10 wins. This is the first season since 2017 that Fresno State will compete at the National Championship as a team. The top 12 teams competed for the national champion title that year, and the Bulldogs were seeded seventh.

SCOUTING OKLAHOMA STATE
Oklahoma State is the 2021 Big 12 champion after defeating TCU in the championship on Mar. 27. The Cowgirls are 6-1 this season. All of their meets were against Big 12 opponents. OSU had the Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Year in senior Harley Huff and the Big 12 Fences Rider of the Year in senior Katie Schell. The Cowgirls had six All-Americans - two fences, two flat, and two horsemanship.

WESTERN 'DOGS
- The Bulldog western group is a combined 45-41-5 this season.
- The 'Dogs are led by the reining group with a 23-19-4 record.
- The horsemanship Bulldogs have a 22-22-1 mark on the year.
- Kameron Thorn leads the horsemanship group with a 6-4 record. The junior also has a team high four MOP honors on the year.
- In the reining, Paley Capachi (6-4) and Julianne Kelley (6-2-2) lead the way for the 'Dogs with six wins a piece.
- The 'Dogs have won 11 western MOPs this season, five horsemanship and six reining.
- Bailey Alexander was named the March Reining Rider of the Month by both the NCEA and Big 12.
- Julianne Kelley and Lexee Padrick earned spots on the All-Big 12 Reining Team.
- Kameron Thorn was an All-Big 12 Horsemanship selection.
- Padrick also earned second team All-American honors in the reining.
JUMPING SEAT 'DOGS
- The jumping seat squad is 33-57-2 this season.
- The flat has a 19-26-1 mark.
- The fences group is 14-31-1 this season.
- Ana Bertozzi leads both events for the 'Dogs. In the fences, she is 5-5 and in the flat she has a 8-1-1 mark.
- Bertozzi earned a spot on both the All-Big 12 fences and flat teams.
- Bertozzi was also a all-american honorable mention in the flat.
