10 Bulldogs named GCC All-Academic Selections

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – The Fresno State water polo team had 10 student-athletes named to the 2021 Golden Coast Conference All-Academic Team, tying the program record.
Sydney Coachman, Emily Diacono, Tori Gacutan, Daphne Guevremont, Kaitlin Howarth, Sienna Jagielski, Mackenzie Matheny, Emily Nicholson, Grace O'Callaghan and Claire Schade represented the Bulldogs on the roster.
The conference announced a record-breaking 106 student-athletes honored for the 2021 season. The team consists of members who carried a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), played in at least 50-percent of the team's contests in the 2020 campaign and were classified as a full-time student at their institution.
Coachman, Nicholson and Schade earned their fourth career GCC All-Academic team honors, while Diacono and Jagielski captured their third-ever conference academic accolades. Guevremont and Howarth earned their second career accolade. This was the first GCC All-Academic awards for O'Callaghan and Gacutan.
