The Fresno State men’s basketball team opens the 2021-22 season in November at the Save Mart Center.
The Breakdown
FRESNO, Calif. – The excitement is building for the Fresno State men's basketball team, who will open the 2021-22 season in November at the Save Mart Center.

After hosting Stanislaus State in a Nov. 3 exhibition, Fresno State is set to start the regular season with three straight home games – Fresno Pacific (Nov. 9), LIU (Nov. 12) and Idaho (Nov. 15) before playing in the Southern California Challenge and visiting the Pac-12's California Golden Bears during Thanksgiving Week.

In December, the Bulldogs' nonconference schedule continues leading up to the start of Mountain West play, which has Fresno State opening at Boise State in the final week of 2021.

Tip off times will be announced when available as the MW's national television partners make their selections.
League play will determine the seeding for the 2022 MW Men's Basketball Championship, which will be held March 9-12 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

- The Fresno State men's basketball team is scheduled to open the 2021-22 season on Nov. 9 when the Bulldogs host the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds at the Save Mart Center.
- Fresno State's 2021-22 home nonconference schedule features seven regular season games, which includes Cal Poly, CSUN, Idaho, LIU, San Diego and UC Irvine, in addition to FPU.
- The Bulldogs travel to Southern California to play Pepperdine and Santa Clara in late November in Dana Point, Calif.
- Fresno State will also play road nonconference games against two Pac-12 opponents (Nov. 28 at Cal & Dec. 21 at Utah), and visit San Francisco (Dec. 8) and Weber State (Dec. 23).
- Fresno State has one preseason exhibition contest versus Stanislaus State on Nov. 3 at the Save Mart Center.
- During Mountain West play, Fresno State opens at Boise State in late December and will host nine MW opponents along with nine road games – playing eight teams twice and two teams once in the rotational 18-game league schedule in 2021-22.
- Fresno State junior forward Orlando Robinson is one of six returning MW players who earned NABC All-District 17 honors in 2020-21. Robinson ranked No. 19 in the nation in double-doubles last year.
