Bulldog Bones

Fresno State heads out on the road for the first time this season traveling to the K-State Invitational.
The 'Dogs are coming off winning two of three last weekend at the Fresno State Invitational defeating CSUN & UC Riverside and falling to Loyola Marymount.
The Bulldogs are 2-1 in road openers under Coach Winder.

11 - Fresno State returns 11 returners this fall, including a pair of All-MW honorees
24 - Grace Doyle leads the MW and ranks 24th in the nation in blocks per set (1.50)
63 - The 'Dogs rank 63rd in the nation in blocks per set (2.42)

Scouting Loyola Chicago

Loyola Chicago is 4-2 on the season and on a three-match winning streak after winning all three matches last weekend at its home tournament defeating Eastern Kentucky, SIUE & Xavier.
The Ramblers were selected third in the Missouri Valley preseason poll and received one first-place vote.
Loyola Chicago went 11-9 in the spring and 8-8 in conference play finishing sixth.
The Ramblers lead the MVC in assists per set (13.48), kills per set (14.30), assists (310) & kills (329).
Taylor Venuto ranks second in the MVC in hitting pct. (.398) & fifth in points (81.0) while Grace Hinchman was named the MVC Defensive Player of the Week.

Scouting Ohio

Ohio is off to a 0-5 start and fell to Illinois State, Marquette & Illinois-Chicago last weekend at the Red & White Invite hosted by Illinois State.
Ohio fell to #4 Washington & Northern Kentucky on opening weekend.
The Bobcats were selected fourth in the MAC East in the preseason poll.
Ohio went 12-8 in the spring with a 12-7 mark in the MAC finishing second in the MAC East Division.
Ohio ranks sixth in the MAC in hitting percentage (.211) & ninth in the assists per set (10.95).
Sam Steele leads the team with 83 digs averaging 4.37 per set.

Scouting Kansas State

Kansas State is off to a 3-2 start to the season with victories over Colgate, UC Santa Barbara and San Diego State.
The Wildcats went 13-8 in 2020-21 with a 10-6 mark in Big 12 finishing third in the league.
Sophomore outside hitter Aliyah Carter was selected a preseason All-Big 12 selection.
The Wildcats rank second in the Big 12 in kills per set (13.69) & attacks per set (33.88) and third in assists per set (12.50) and aces per set (1.44).
Carter leads the team and ranks third in the Big 12 kills per set (4.25) & attacks per set (10.62).

Road Openers

Fresno State hits the road for the first time this season.
The 'Dogs are 2-1 in road openers under Coach Winder with wins at Eastern Illinois in 2018 & San Diego State in spring 2021 and fell at Green Bay in 2019.

The Bulldogs opened up the season over the weekend with a sweep over CSUN and a five-set thriller over UC Riverside while falling in four sets to Loyola Marymount.
Desiree Sukhov led the 'Dogs with 43 kills averaging 3.58 kills per set, third in MW.
Grace Doyle racked up 18 blocks while Mikayla Weiss led the team with 75 assists.

'Dogs vs. MVC/MAC/Big 12

The 'Dogs are 3-3 against current members of the the Missouri Valley, 6-1 vs. the MAC & 7-5 against the Big 12.
