Bulldogs battle to the final buzzer

Fresno State erased an 8-point deficit in overtime before coming up just short in battling Boise State.
FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno State men's basketball team battled from start to finish in a hard-fought 68-63 overtime loss to the Boise State Broncos on Friday night at the Save Mart Center before a season-high 8,250 fans.
Fresno State (14-6, 4-3 Mountain West) had Boise State (17-4, 8-0 MW) on the brink and nearly snapped the Broncos' 13-game winning streak, but came up one defensive stop at the end of regulation away from sealing the deal.
Orlando Robinson scored a game-high 21 points on 9-for-15 shooting for the Bulldogs, but attempted and made just one free throw attempt despite averaging more than six free throw attempts per game entering the contest.
Robinson fouled out in 27 minutes with four offensive fouls and one defensive foul, and had to sit for an extended period in the first half after picking up two offensive fouls in the first seven minutes of the game.
Leo Colimerio added 11 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double, while Jordan Campbell also had 11 points for Fresno State.
The Bulldogs, who had averaged 17.5 free throw attempts in its first nine home games, went to the charity stripe six times and converted all six of those free throws. Overall, in its two games (85 minutes) played against Boise State this season, Fresno State attempted eight free throws (7-for-8 FT).
