Sutherland shoots 5-under on opening day of Wolf Pack Classic

RENO, Nev. – Suspended due to darkness, two of Fresno State's golfers were unable to finish the second of two rounds on the first day of the Wolf Pack Classic on Monday at Hidden Valley Country Club. Matthew Sutherland posted the top score for the Bulldogs, shooting 5-under par through 35 holes.

Sutherland, who is one of three competitors in the field to record two eagles thus far, is tied for 11^th. With a pair of 71s, Matthew Manganello joins his fellow junior under par, posting a two-round score of 2-under.

As a team, the Bulldogs sit in the ninth at 4-under par. Sutherland and Joseph Lloyd will have one hole to finish before the start of Tuesday's final round. Round 2 will continue tomorrow at 9 a.m. PT and continue into the final round. Live scoring can be followed on GolfStat.
