Fresno State’s Pang Jittakoat and Matilde Magrini rallied to defeat top-seeded Oklahoma in the opening round of the ITA Doubles Main Draw.

Fresno State's Pang Jittakoat and Matilde Magrini secured a thrilling third-set tiebreaker victory (5-7, 6-4, 10-8) over No. 1-seeded Ivana Corley and Carmen Corley of Oklahoma on Wednesday in the ITA Doubles Main Draw Round of 32 at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
With the notable win on the national stage in the ITA Women's All-American Championships, Jittakoat and Magrini will next face Arizona State's duo of Patricija Spaka and Domenika Turkovic in the Round of 16 on Thursday.
The performance is the latest showing in how the Fresno State women's tennis program is right back in the national conversation with incredible talent and production.
This is the first time since 2008 that a Bulldog duo has played in the ITA Main Draw Doubles when Melanie Gloria and Tinesta Rowe were the top-seeded pair, who reached the quarterfinals that fall.
