Cal placed first (1,481.5 pts.), San Diego State (679.5 pts.), UCLA (670 pts.) were among the top three with Washington State (307 pts.) and San Jose State (221 pts.) rounded the field.

The Breakdown
- Fresno State opens the 2022-23 season at home hosting the Chick-Fil-A Invitational.
- The Bulldogs will see Mountain West foes Colorado State, San Diego State & San Jose State along with UCLA, Washington State and Cal this weekend.
- Broken into three sessions, the seven teams will compete twice on Friday and one final time on Saturday.
- Fresno State brings back 21 returners and adds six newcomers in 2022-23.
- The Bulldogs open the season with the Chick-Fil-A Invitational for the sixth time in the last seven seasons.
- The 'Dogs are coming off a fourth-place finish at last season's Chick-Fil-A Invitational scoring 396 points.
- Senior Athena Clayson comes into the season as a three-time Mountain West champion in the 200 Back.
