Bulldogs drop Big 12 opener at No. 2 TCU

FORT WORTH, Texas - The Fresno State equestrian team dropped its first Big 12 competition of the season, falling 16-1 at No. 2 TCU on Thursday.

Senior Ana Bertozzi won Fresno State's only point in the meet with an 85-84 edging over Ashleigh Scully in the Fences. Her 85 was a season-high for the senior, but also the highest fences score by a Bulldog this season.

Three Bulldogs tied in their rides on Thursday. In the fences, Taylor Holstead tied with an 81. It was her second 80-plus score ride in the event this season. In the reining, Shelby Robinette and Sarah Semrau both tied. Robinette rode for a 73 while Semrau scored a career-high 73.5.

Fresno State looks to bounce back tomorrow, taking on No. 6 Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla. Riding is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. PT. Live scoring is available here.
