Clayson named MW Swimmer of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fresno State junior Athena Clayson was named the Mountain West Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
A native of Liverpool, England, Clayson won both the 100 Back (55.63) and 200 Back (2:00.26) in new pool record times last Saturday in the 'Dogs 157-140 win at San Jose State.
In addition, she was the lead leg on the winning 200 Medley Relay team that clocked a time of 1:43.63 and was part of the 400 Free Relay that matched a season-best time of 3:25.49.
The 'Dogs are off until the Mountain West Championships on Feb. 16-19 in College Station, Texas.
