'Dogs improve to 7-1 this season

Fresno State (7-1) delivered another strong team performance in earning its fifth road win of the season.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Fresno State women's tennis team defeated the Santa Clara Broncos 4-1 on Saturday at Degheri Tennis Center.

The victory extended the Bulldogs' winning streak to five with Fresno State (7-1) winning the doubles point for the second straight contest and then finishing off the win with three more singles points.

Pang Jittakoat won in straight sets at No. 2 singles and also partnered with Carolina Piferi to win 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. A.C. Hummel and Matilde Magrini won the other finished doubles match 6-1 at the No. 2 position.

Next up: Fresno State plays at Cal Poly on Friday and then hosts Pacific back at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center on Feb. 27.
