'Dogs battle to first home win

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's tennis team rallied for a 5-2 win over the Saint Mary's College Gaels on a brisk Wednesday at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.

Fresno State (4-1) used a strong showing in singles to power past Saint Mary's (0-3), who had battled No. 17 USC tough before falling 4-2 last week.

With the win, Fresno State improved to 10-9 all-time against Saint Mary's.

Next up: Fresno State returns to action next when the Bulldogs travel to play at BYU on Feb. 11.
