Bulldogs drop game one to Aggies

Fresno State (9-28, 2-8 Mountain West) and Utah State (21-15, 7-0 MW) were locked in a tight contest until the seventh inning when the Aggies pulled away.
Bailey Williams had two hits in the series opener with a RBI for the Bulldogs.
How it happened: Fresno State took an early in the bottom of the first when Williams drove in Keahilele Mattson on a RBI single up the middle.
USU answered in the second with a run to even the score at 1-1.
Each team scored in the sixth inning before the Aggies took advantage of opportunities in the seventh.
Next up: Fresno State and Utah State will face off in game two of the three-game series on Saturday at 3 p.m. PT.
