No. 60 Bulldogs remain atop MW

No. 60 Fresno State completed a weekend sweep in San Jose with a 4-1 neutral site victory over Nevada.
SAN JOSE, Calif. – The No. 60-ranked Fresno State women's tennis team defeated the Nevada Wolf Pack 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Spartan Tennis Complex.
With the win, Fresno State (16-3, 6-0 Mountain West) remains undefeated in MW contests and in sole possession of first place in the league standings through the first three weeks of conference play.
How it happened: Fresno State earned the doubles point for the fifth time in its six MW matches – once again winning at the top doubles position with another strong match by Pang Jittakoat and Matilde Magrini, who improved to 8-1 when playing together at No. 1 doubles.
In singles, Jittakoat, Magrini and A.C. Hummel recorded straight-set victories to finish off the Bulldogs' eighth straight win.

- Fresno State improved to 31-8 overall (14-2 in MW matches) in head coach Denise Dy's two seasons coaching the Bulldogs.
- For the seventh consecutive week, the Fresno State women's tennis team is ranked nationally (No. 60) in the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point.
