Nicholson wraps up play in Budapest

BUDAPEST, Hungary - Former Fresno State water polo All-American Emily Nicholson wrapped up play with the New Zealand national team at the 2022 FINAÂ World Championships on Thursday.
Playing six games over 11 days, the four-time All-American scored seven goals in the tournament helping New Zealand finish 10th in the tournament.
The recent Fresno State graduate got the tournament started with three goals in an opening-round victory over Brazil on June 20 and added two more in a win over Argentina on June 28 that helped New Zealand advance to the ninth-place match.
Nicholson wrapped up her five-year Bulldog career this spring playing in all 27 games earning the GCC Player of the Year honors along with being an All-GCC First Team selection.
She earned the Bob Duncan Bulldog of the Year award as well as being an ACWPCÂ Second Team All-American and GCC All-Academic selection.
