’Dogs to open Wooden with Huskies

Fresno State returns to Southern California for national exposure during Feast Week.
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Fresno State men's basketball team will face the Washington Huskies in the 2022 Paycom Wooden Legacy on Thanksgiving Eve, ESPN Events announced on Tuesday.

About the 2022 Paycom Wooden Legacy
- The Fresno State-Washington game will tip off on Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. PT on ESPNU and will be followed by Saint Mary's College taking on Vanderbilt in the nightcap.
- The winners of the opening games will face off in a championship game on Thanksgiving, while the losers will also play on Nov. 24 in a third-place contest.
- All games in the four-team field will be played at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.
- Fresno State, who won the 2021 Venue Twin Southern California Challenge Surf Division, is returning to Southern California during Feast Week for a multi-team event for the second straight season and third time in the last five years.
- This will be Fresno State's second appearance in the ESPN Event and first since 2018, when the 'Dogs beat Northwestern on Thanksgiving Day and finished third in an eight-team bracket.
Series History: Fresno State vs. Washington
- This will also be the sixth time that Fresno State and Washington meet in men's basketball with the Bulldogs owning a 3-2 advantage in the all-time series.
- Fresno State and Washington last played on Dec. 7, 1993 when the 'Dogs defeated the Huskies 67-65 downtown at Selland Arena.
