BULLDOG BONES
- Fresno State returns to the road this weekend traveling to the Santa Clara Invitational taking on host Santa Clara, Tulane and Oklahoma.
- The Bulldogs are coming off a 2-1 weekend with wins over Seattle and Louisiana Tech before falling in five sets to San Francisco at the Fresno State Invitational.
- The 'Dogs are off to a 3-3 or better start to the season after six matches for the seventh straight season dating back to 2015 (2-4).
- The Bulldogs will see Tulane for the first time in program history, Oklahoma for the second time and Santa Clara for the 35th time.
- Hannah Waters & Grace Doyle were named to the Fresno State Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Scouting Tulane
- Tulane is off to a 3-3 start with wins over Prairie View A&M, Lamar & Howard.
- The Waves were selected seventh out of 11 teams in the American Athletic Conference preseason poll.
- Tulane went 18-14 in 2021 with an 11-9 conference mark, good for sixth in the league.
- Senior outside hitter Mackenzie Martin leads the Waves with 3.27 kills per set while senior setter Kate Van Houten tops the team in assists per set at 7.74.
- Senior middle blocker Kayla Kaiser leads the American Conference with 12 service aces and is second in hitting percentage (.374).
- Santa Clara sits at 3-3 on the season with wins over Chattanooga, Wyoming & Idaho.
- SCU was picked fifth in the WCC preseason poll.
- The Broncos went 12-15 last season and 8-9 in the WCC to finish sixth in the conference.
- Santa Clara is second in the WCC and 42nd in the nation in hitting percentage (.275).
- Senior outside hitter Julia Sangiacomo ranks third in the WCC in kills (81) and seventh in hitting percentage (.353).
- Sophomore setter Nive Tuileta checks in sixth in the WCC in assists (8.86).
- Oklahoma is off to a 4-2 on the season with wins over Gonzaga, Iowa & FIU at the OU Invitational and Lipscomb last weekend at the LUV Invitational.
- OU was chosen ninth in the preseason Big 12 poll.
- The Sooners went 10-17 last season and 4-12 in the Big 12 sitting eighth in the Big 12.
- Oklahoma leads the Big 12 in assists (286), digs (326), kills (312) & attacks (775).
- Individually, the Sooners are led by Callie Kemohah who leads the conference in digs per set (5.09) and Megan Wilson who sits atop the Big 12 in service aces (14) and kills (94).
- The Bulldogs are coming off wins over Seattle and Louisiana Tech last weekend at home in the Fresno State Invitational.
- Grace Doyle and Hannah Waters were named to the All-Tournament Team.
- Doyle totaled 42 kills and 14 blocks over the three matches while Waters totaled 130 assists and 36 digs tallying three double-doubles on the weekend.
- The 'Dogs hit a season-best .387 against Seattle and totaled a season-high 75 digs, nine service aces & 13 blocks versus San Francisco.
- Kills: 320 (2nd MW/37th NCAA)
- Team attacks: 858 (2nd MW/57th NCAA)
- Digs: 363 (2nd MW/65th NCAA)
- Assists: 291 (3rd MW/45th NCAA)
- Kills per set: 13.33 (3rd MW/65th NCAA)
- Digs per set: 15.12 (3rd MW/76th NCAA)
- Attacks per set: 35.75 (4th MW/61st NCAA)
- Assists per set: 12.12 (4th MW/85th NCAA)
- Junior setter Hannah Waters, a newcomer from Lamar, has been an instant impact for the Bulldog over their first first six matches leading the Mountain West and ranking ninth in the nation with 248 assists while ranking second in assists per set (10.33).
- She has registered five double-doubles this season coming only one dig shy of reaching that mark in all six matches finishing with nine digs against The Citadel on Aug. 27.
- Senior middle blocker Grace Doyle has reached double figures in kills in all six matches this season.
- She ranks second in the MW in points per set (4.46), third in blocks (26) and fourth in hitting percentage (.354).
- For the second time since 2011, the Mountain West will host a postseason tournament to determine the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament after Boise State claimed the title in 2021.
- The top six teams in the regular season will head to Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colo. on Nov. 23-25.
- This will be the 12th postseason tournament having also had a MW Tournament from 1999-2007.
