THE BREAKDOWN
The Bulldogs are coming off a 188-112 dual loss at UC Davis winning four individual events.
The Bulldogs got first-place finishes from Samarah Melia (1000 Free), Athena Clayson, (100 Back), Mackenzie Hutler (200 Fly) and Julia Matney (100 Fly).
In addition, the 'Dogs collected eight runner-up finishes in seven individual events and the 200 Free Relay team of Eleonora Trentin, Wiktoria Dabrowska, Melia & Hutler clocked a time of 1:34.58.

- Fresno State hosts San Jose State for Senior Day on Saturday at the Aquatics Center.
- The 'Dogs will honor their seven seniors, Silvia Alessio, Athena Clayson, Maya Gulvady, Mackenzie Hutler, Sammie Keith, Eydis Osk Kolbeinsdottir & Alyssa Libang prior to the meet.
- The 'Dogs are coming off a 188-112 dual loss at UC Davis last Saturday.
- Fresno State won four events against the Aggies with Samarah Melia (1000 Free), Athena Clayson, (100 Back), Mackenzie Hutler (200 Fly) and Julia Matney (100 Fly) finishing first in their respective events.
- SJSU enters the dual with a 3-3 dual record with wins over Pepperdine, Pacific & Cal State East Bay.
- Athena Clayson was named the MW Swimmer of the Week on Jan. 17.
- Fresno State heads to the 2023 Mountain West Championships on Feb. 15-18 in Houston, Texas at the CRWC Natatorium.

- Silvia Alessio - Three-year Bulldog from Trieste, Italy, Alessio was a 2021 All-MW selection on the 3-Meter & 1-Meter & a two-time Academic All-MW & MW Scholar-Athlete
- Athena Clayson - Four-year Bulldog from Liverpool, England, Clayson has won five individual MW titles (3 in the 200 Back, 2 in the 100 Back), 6x All-MW selection, 3x Academic All-MW & MW Scholar-Athlete selection
- Maya Gulvady - Four-year Bulldog from San Jose, Gulvady earned three Academic All-MW selections and competed at the MW Championships in the 500 Free, 200 Free, 200 Fly & 1650 Free
- Mackenzie Hutler - Four-year Bulldog from Chico, Hutler is a three-time Academic All-MW & MW Scholar-Athlete, 2021 All-MW selection in the 100 & 200 Fly
- Sammie Keith - Four-year 'Dog from San Jose, Keith earned three Academic All-MW selections, two MW Scholar-Athletes & swam in the 50 & 200 Free at the MW Championships
- Eydis Osk Kolbeinsdottir - Four-year Bulldog from Iceland, Kolbeinsdottir has earned three Academic All-MW honors, 2021 All-MW selection in 1650 Free
- Alyssa Libang - Four-year Bulldog from Simi Valley, Libang earned a pair of Academic All-MW honors & competed in the 200 IM at the 2022 MW Championships
- San Jose State is 3-3 in dual action this season with wins over Pepperdine, Pacific & Cal State East Bay.
- The Spartans have dropped duals to No. 2 Stanford, No. 11 Cal & UC Davis.
- SJSU has competed at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational, CSUB Sprint Classic, Roadrunner Invitational and the Mizzou Invite.
- The Spartans finished eighth in the 2022 MW Championships scoring 597.5 points.
