'Dogs open day 1 of the Utah Tech Trailblazers Invite

ST. GEORGE, Utah - The Fresno State swim team wrapped up Day 1 of the Utah Tech Invitational with four swimmers qualifying into the A final. Julia Matney (50 freestyle), Wiktoria Dabrowska (50 freestyle), Laura Kalmar (500 freestyle) and Aliz Kalmar (200 IM).Â
Six swimmers placed in the top ten in individual events at finals; L. Kalmar (7th, 500 freestyle), A. Kalmar (4th, 200 IM), Hanagan (8th, 200 IM), Matney (5th, 50 freestyle), Dabrowska (6th, 50 freestyle) and Hutler (9th, 50 freestyle).Â
The Bulldogs' 200 freestyle relay has yet to finish below third place this season, with Matney, Hutler and anchor Dabrowska being the core of the relay.Â
"We had a solid day. We had a lot of best times and season bests." Said head coach Jeanne Fleck, "We need to be a little more on in the morning."Â
'Dogs are back in the pool for day 2 starting at 9 a.m. PT streaming on WAC International.Â
Divers will see their first day of action tomorrow in Flagstaff for the NAU Lumberjack Invitational in the Women's 3-meter.Â
